The 2 Bennett St. project marks the expansion of SHLTR Architects into a new office space, reflecting the firm’s growth and vision for a reimagined work environment. Located under a full tree canopy in downtown Greenville, this commercial upfit and façade improvement allows SHLTR to occupy the third floor, providing stunning views of the lush surroundings—hence the nickname, “The Treehouse.” The design embraces the natural environment, integrating materials that celebrate the site’s unique location such a concrete-look LVT in the corridors, a striking white oak accent wall, and large exterior storefront windows. Additionally, plants and green furniture accents were added to bring the outdoors inside, fostering a refreshing and inspiring workspace.
