Prosper is an executive co-working style office concept located in the former McBride’s Office Supply Building on Wade Hampton Boulevard in Greenville. This adaptive reuse project emphasizes private offices instead of open seating typically found with co-working, allowing the tenants privacy to meet with clients and run their businesses while still benefitting from the sense of community in a shared space. Originally built in 1962 for McBride’s Office Supply, the building is a rare lasting example of commercial midcentury modern architecture in Greenville. Our main design goal was to preserve the existing midcentury elements and restore some that had been lost over time and integrate them into a bright and comfortable office space. The building will be registered on the National Register of Historic Places.
